November is here and there is a lot happening. We had our meeting in October. At that meeting we elected the new Treasure, Jim Hall, and the new secretary, Michael Nuttall. There were no nominations for president. We had a board meeting several days later and Mark Tauber consented to run for president, and David Montoni agreed to run for vice president. Elections will be held for these two positions at our November 11th meeting. Additional nominations will be accepted. The dates for our Christmas show have been set for Dec. 14, 15, Dec 21, 22, and Dec 28, 29. The hours of the show will be from 9:00 to 3:00. Please plan some time to participate in the show. Additionally one school asked us to provide a special showing for their handicapped students on. Dec. 18th at 10:00. Although not yet set, We have our Christmas party Monday December 9th (location and times will be announced later) instead of our monthly meeting.Much time was spent this last month working on the layouts. The G scalers removed the O scale track to the mines on the south side and replaced it with G scale track. At the same time they connected the track to existing track making it another loop. The G Scalers are now meeting Thursday afternoons at 1:00. Scenery work and electrical work dominated the HO/HON3 layout. Additionally everyone pitched in to clean everything for visitors on Heritage days at Cross Orchards. The day was a great success for Cross and our train layouts. Saturday October 26 we had our annual picnic with brats, hot dogs and many good side dishes brought by members.I want to thank everyone for your attendance in the club activities this past year. Its this participation that makes the club a success. I will no longer be the President of the club but I will be an active member.Mickey
