By now, everyone should have received a copy of the bylaw changes. Basically, our dues structure have been brought into line with what we actually do, !8 year olds are now eligible to run for office, quarterly payments on dues have been eliminated, and the probationary status for new members has been defined. We will vote on these changes Monday, Sept 9 at our monthly meeting. Additionally, nominations for new officers will start to be taken. We encourage everyone to attend this meeting.Over the past several months, Terry has bees giving clinics on creating scenery. Now that the clinics are complete, final scenery on the Montrose Island is being applied. When the scenery work is slow, operations are being run. We purchased a new NCE unit several months ago and we are working to upgrade the layout for its use. It has been nice having the rain the last several weeks, however, the wind and rain have caused additional work for the G scalers. The track needs extra work to remove lots of debris from their tracks. We have a large school tour Sept 12th at 10:45AM. 50 kids, broken up into about 4 groups will explore Cross Orchards exhibits and both the HO and G scale layouts. We can use your help displaying the layouts for the kids.We are putting together ad order for additional club vests. The cost to you is $25.00. Most members already have them. If you are interested please notify one of the officers no later than September 12. We need your size. The club logo will be put on the vests. Thank you Ashley Tangreen for putting this together.
