We have completed another Christmas show, very successfully! Not only did we achieve our financial goal, but we had great help from our membership, and we receive MANY very positive comments and feedbacks from the public. They liked the new work done and being done on the Montrose island, they were impressed with the addition of the lighting, They spent a great deal of time reading and asking about the historical pictures on the wall, and they enjoyed the scavenger hunts so well that they came back for additional hunts. The G-scalers were real troopers running their trains in the cold for the public, and it was great having their help and the participation of the Historical society. Matt and the Cross Orchards' crew were great in all that they did to make the show a success. I really want to thank all of you that helped in any way. THANK YOU!!! With the show behind us we are moving into a new year. We are starting with open running for the month of January. We will follow that with getting a complete inventory of our running equipment and getting the things that aren't working well, fixed, WE will work on getting operations started in February. Additionally the officers will start preparing a set of goals for the year and a new budget. If you have any requests, please give them to an officer. These meeting will be open to the membership once we have set days and times for the meetings. Many members have asked for workshops that will help them to have a better understanding of our layout. We will start this procedure by having a workshop on Decoder Pro Thursday, Jan 26. We will start promptly at 7:15. You will be encouraged to take notes and ask questions. For those of you not interested, you will be allowed to run trains with no sound as long as it doesn't disturb the workshop. Other workshops will follow at a later date. We welcome our newest member, David Cessarich to the club.
