This last month started with a meeting that was well attended. We have continued to follow the following schedule for operations. On the second and fourth Saturday of the month, The club is open for farmers market and we will have operations. On the Thursdays that are in the week directly prior to the 2nd or 4th Saturday, we will NOT have operations. On the remaining Thursdays we, do have Operations.
This month the Saturdays that we were open for farmers market, we had good turnouts of the public to view our display. We did operations and had a good time. You may have noticed that Cross Orchards is not running their “ride on” train. This is due to some paperwork that is required by the state for an amusement ride. The paperwork is being filed. In the meantime, both the fire engine and model t truck are available for rides.
A new sign has been placed not the G scale building. It is a replica of the sign found on the Loma RR Station.
A discussion was held regarding new vehicles for the HO layout. It was decided that we should get some additional “lighted” vehicles, and some speciality vehicles that include an appropriate scene.
Several individuals wanted to put together a trip to ride the Leadville train. Although specifics have not been decided, there is a lot of interest and we are proceeding to set this up. If you are interested please let us know.
We decided on the schedule for the annual Christmas schedule. We will be open from 10:00 to 4:00 on December 10,11 December 17 ,18 December 24, 26 and December 31.
